Hello
After the rollout of 5G services in India there have been several complaints from subscribers regarding call drops and other network-related issues.
Presently, the TRAI has fixed Rs 130 (taxes additional) as the NCF for a package of 200 Standard Definition (SD) channels. If the number of channels goes above 200, the NCF will go up to Rs 160.
TRAI held a review meeting with telecom operators like Bharti Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone Idea (VIL) on issue of UCC (unsolicited commercial communications) detect system.
When broadcasters issued notices to cable operators/ multi system operators to sign the new RIO for New Tariff Order, members of AIDCF declined to sign, following which broadcaster had disconnected their signals.
Only those channels which are having MRP of Rs 19 or less will be permitted to be part of a bouquet.
The Department of Telecom has sought views of sector regulator Trai to prepare a framework for regulating internet calling and messaging apps.
In rural areas, Internet penetration is the highest in Kerala. While in most other States the number of internet connections rises in the urban areas, it is just the opposite in Kerala.
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has received a reference to begin consultation on the same from the Department of Telecom (DoT).
The government is aiming to begin roll-out of 5G services by end-March 2023 in India.
Department of Telecom (DoT) has extended the duration of archiving call data and internet usage records of subscribers to two years from one year due to security reasons.
