The Kerala government standardised bar operating hours from 10 am to 12 midnight.

The Kerala cabinet approved the new policy for this financial year on Wednesday.
Officials have reportedly received verbal directions from ‘certain centres’ that those who apply for bar licences should not be troubled.
The government has asked bar owners to take precautionary measure – such as increasing the spacing between tables and disinfecting the bar interiors - to keep the coronavirus at bay.
If the figures of beer and wine parlours that have been upgraded as bars are taken into account, then the total number of bars that started functioning this year would rise to 70.
