The BCCI appointed former spinner Pragyan Ojha as chair of the national men's selection committee, succeeding Ajit Agarkar, while Ramesh Powar joined the panel as a new member following CAC decisions.
Ojha recalled the moment he first met Rohit formally in the U-15 national camp and how everyone was saying he was a special player.
Tendulkar's final Test in Mumbai against the West Indies in November 2013 also became the last of the 33-year-old Ojha's career and the one in which he was named man of the match.
