During a visit to the United States, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to discuss strengthening bilateral ties, with a particular focus on formalizing cooperation in critical minerals exploration, mining, and processing.
The meeting came in the backdrop of ongoing trade negotiations between the two nations and the proposed bilateral trade deal between India and the US.
Jaishankar arrived in Moscow on Tuesday to fine-tune preparations for President Putin’s proposed visit to India, expected in November or December.

In a post on X, Gandhi questioned External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar for publicly admitting that the Indian government had informed Pakistan of the military action and asked how many aircrafts the Indian Air Force lost as a result.
