Kuttikkanam: As part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Marian College, Kuttikkanam, its Department of Communicative English is organising a two–day international conference titled “Multiple Projections: The Question of Real in Literature and Media”.
The conference will be held here on January 13 and 14, 2020. Aim of the conference is to facilitate discourse on reality, truth, representations and projections.
The key speakers of the conference will be Dr Vinod Balakrishnan (Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology, Thiruchirappalli), Dr Abdul Mohammed Ali Jinnah (Jamal Mohemed College, Thiruchirappalli) and Ms Nisa Roiyassa (Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto, Indonesia).
Original research articles are invited from teachers, research scholars and students on the key areas pertaining to a slew of topics like fake news and the real, political correctness and reality, faithfulness of representation, aesthetics and the real.

All the selected papers will be published in journals listed by the UGC and SCOPUS, a source list.
For Registration
The registration fees for only participation is Rs 550 for teachers and Rs 350 for research scholars and PG/UG students.
Registration fees for paper presenters are: Rs 800 for teachers and Rs 500 for research scholars and PG/UG students.

About the abstract:
The abstract should be in 300 words. The abstracts will be assessed by a peer review committee and acceptance will be intimated.

The abstract should include the following:
1. Topic/ title of the paper
2. Name of the author/s
3. Designation
4. Address of the institution
5. Email ID and mobile number
Full paper:
1. Papers should be 3,000 -4,000 words in length.
2. The MLA 8th edition format should be followed.
3. The text must be in Times New Roman, size 12, and double spaced.

1. Deadline for the submission of abstracts: 27/12/2019
2. Intimation of the acceptance of the abstract: 02/01/2020
3. Deadline for the submission of full papers: 08/01/2020
