Thiruvananthapuram: The teachers of public educational institutions across the state can attend a four-day residential training camp during this summer vacation.
However, it is not mandatory all should attend the residential camps organized at the district-level. The decision is to include those willing to stay in the training location for four days in the residential programme, while others will be extended training only during daytime.
The residential camps will have batches consisting of 40 members each. More camps will be held based on the number of interested teachers. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Kerala is behind the initiative, aimed at providing result-oriented training to teachers to enhance their quality of teaching.
Meanwhile, the six-day residential training camp for LP (Lower Primary) School teachers, who joined the service in June 2019, will be held from May 9 to 14. The camp ‘Navadyapaka Sangamam’ will include batches of 50 people each. Those who register first will get priority. The applications have to be submitted before April 30. The training programme is led by the NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training).
