New Delhi: The last date to apply for this year’s National Merit-cum-means scholarship of the Central Government for students in Classes 9 to 12 is November 30. Applications should be submitted through the National Scholarship Portal.
Authorities said that one lakh new scholarships would be granted this year to students in Class 9. Students in Classes 10 to 12 can renew their existing scholarships, they added.
Among the conditions of the scholarship is that the annual income of the students’ parents should not exceed Rs 3.5 lakh.
Students to be granted the scholarship will be selected based on two rounds of scrutiny. The first round will be conducted by December 15, and the second round by December 30, following which the final selection list will be published.
