SSLC, Plus Two exams begin in Kerala | Things to note

The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC), Higher Secondary, and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations began across Kerala on Monday. A total of 4,27,021 regular students will appear for the SSLC/THSLC/AHSLC exams, which will be held in 2,964 centres in Kerala, nine in Lakshadweep, and seven in the Gulf region. The exams will conclude on March 26.
The second-year Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary exams also began on Monday, while the first-year exams will commence on March 6. The SSLC exams will be held at 9.30 am, while the Higher Secondary exams are scheduled for 1.30 pm. In the Higher Secondary category, 4,13,417 students will take the first-year exams, while 4,44,693 students will appear for the second-year exams.
Malappuram has the highest number of students appearing for the exams (28,358), while the Kuttanad education district in Alappuzha has the lowest (1,893). The PKMM HSS in Edarikkode, Tirurangadi, is the centre with the highest number of candidates (2,017), while the Fort Government Sanskrit HSS in Thiruvananthapuram has only one candidate.
The first-year Higher Secondary public exams will be held from March 6 to March 29. Alongside, improvement and supplementary exams for the 2024 first-year Higher Secondary exams will also be conducted. The second-year Higher Secondary exams will run from March 3 to March 26.

Important things to note
• Students should report to their exam centers on time, allowing adequate preparation before the 9.30 am start.
• A 15-minute cool-off period will be provided to read the question paper thoroughly.
• Exam duration varies slightly between different subjects.
• Students are advised to carry their hall tickets and adhere to the rules and regulations set by their respective schools and examination centres.
Evaluation and results
Results are likely to be declared by the end of May 2025. The evaluation of answer sheets will be conducted in two phases from April 3 to April 26 across 72 centres. The first phase will run from April 3 to April 11, and the second from April 21 to April 26. Appointment orders for additional chief examiners and assistant examiners for the centralised evaluation camps will be available on the Pareeksha Bhavan website from March 10. The scheme finalisation camps for evaluation will commence in the third week of March.
