1 cup roasted rice flour
4 tsp roasted and powdered urad dal
¼ tsp sesame seeds
¼ tsp cumin
¼ tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp butter
Salt as required
Water to mix
Oil to fry
Take rice four, urad dal powder, chilli powder, sesame seeds, cumin, butter, salt and water as required in a bowl
Mix well into a sticky batter
Fix the murukku mould in the sevanazhi or squeezer
Fill the sevanazhi with the batter
Squeeze or press into hot oil in the shape of murukku
Fry until both sides are crunchy and golden in colour.
