Rejeev, a native of Chalakkudy, instantly fell in love with the suave colonial houses in Europe during a tour for a music show. The elegant houses there adorned with bloomed creepers and charming interiors illuminated by the pleasant sunshine instilled in him a desire to build a dream abode similar to those. Rejeev had decided to construct his house close to his ancestral home itself.

The house which has an area of 2200 sqft has a living room, dining area, kitchen, three bedrooms and a music studio. It is the exposed brick works that make the outer walls stand out for its unique charm. Truss work is done on the roof and paved with beige colored roofing tiles.

The house is designed in such a way that it positively embraces the slanting position of the plot. Though the house looks like a single storied one, there is a floor below, which isn’t visible from the road. This space which has ample privacy is where Rejeev practices music and also where the family and friends gather for a fun time. There is a bedroom here as well.

The interiors aren’t overcrowded with gaudy decors; instead, it emanates the charm of simplicity. The walls and ceiling too are designed in a minimal style. False ceiling is installed only in the main hall. Light points are directly installed in other areas. Vitrified tiles with glossy finish are paved on the floor. The hand rails of the stairway are made of stainless steel.

The cupboards in the kitchen are designed in aluminum fabrication. There are lots of storage spaces in bedrooms. The wardrobes in the bedrooms too are done in aluminum fabricate. There is a balcony in the master bedroom which allows the family to enjoy the beautiful greenery outside. The family members, in unison, say that this is one of their favorite corners in the house.

The boundary walls and the landscaping too are done in unique designs which complement the elegant look of the house. The creepers and bushes were grown here as soon the construction of the house started. The beautiful greenery which grew along with the house is truly a scintillating feature which adds to the stylish look of the house. The family is eagerly waiting for the creepers to grow abundantly and turn into a charming canopy of blossoms above the house.
