More than 70 witnesses were examined during the trial, and 207 documents were produced as evidence. The trial in the case began in February 2025 before the Kollam Additional Sessions Court.

The woman is currently under observation at the Government Medical College in Kalamassery, and her condition is reported to be stable.
The deceased, Bibin, was a native of Kalarcode in Alappuzha.
Another staff member said the husband had called the teacher out of her classroom on the pretext of giving her a book and took her to a nearby office.
The injured are Bineesh, his son Abhinav, and their friend Abhijith, all residents of Mundur.
The accused is on the run.
