Regarded as Malayalam cinema’s first true family thriller franchise, the ‘Drishyam’ series has built its legacy on the emotional and moral dilemmas faced by Georgekutty, an ordinary man driven to extraordinary lengths to protect his family.
According to the circulating synopsis, the third instalment will once again centre on Georgekutty, who is not only protecting his family from the outside world but also from the truth that binds them together.
Sharing a specially crafted teaser video on social media, Mohanlal hinted at the lingering shadows of the past that continue to haunt Georgekutty.
Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film, the rights of which have been purchased by Panorama Studios, will hit theatres in October.
