Anil Menon, alongside two Russian cosmonauts, has successfully reached the International Space Station after a Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft journey.
Dr Menon will lift off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan aboard the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft, operated by the Russian space agency Roscosmos. Accompanied by Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina, the 49-year-old physician-astronaut will spend approximately 240 days in orbit before returning to Earth in 2027.
Dr Anil Menon, a distinguished mechanical engineer, doctor, pilot, and US Space Force colonel, is undertaking crucial research in space, including IV fluid production and AI medical applications, whilst his wife, Anna, is also an accomplished astronaut.
