The National Service Scheme unit of L B S College Of Engineering, Kasaragod, organised a blood donation camp on Tuesday. It was held in association with the JCI (Junior Chamber International), Rudirasena and the Blood Bank.

Students, teachers and non-teaching staff took part in the camp. A total of 120 volunteers participated and people from outside the campus also arrived for donating blood. In all 169 units of blood were collected as the camp ended in the evening.

The collected blood was successfully handed over to the respective authorities. The Government Hospital Blood Bank, Kasaragod, will be the beneficiary.

The new circular issued by the Kerala Technological University providing duty leave for those who donate blood under the NSS helped in large participation.

The camp was held on the premises of the Department of Mechanical Engineering was supervised by associate programme officer Shibin K M. It was coordinated by Ajesh K Nair, JCI zonal officer, and KK Selvaraj, JCI President (Kasaragod).

Rudirasena general secretary Sajini Sherin and secretary Sudhi Krishnan also attended. Kunjiraman, Director of JCI, and Asha Selvaraj gave the felicitations. NSS volunteers Nithin KT, Sreerag M, Sreelakshmi and Anjali were active all through.
