PSC interviews to resume in July first week

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) has decided to resume interviews in the first week of July.

Of the interviews conducted earlier for various posts, the remaining ones would be resumed in July.

Though permission was sought from the government to conduct exams in July, it was not granted. But if the permission is granted within two or three days, the exams can be held in July.

While applying for posts that require experience certificates, the meeting decided that it would be sufficient to upload the statement in the prescribed format instead of the certificate. The relaxation was permitted while considering the hassle for candidates to secure the certificates due to the Covid situation. The certificates should be presented later during verification.

Though the PSC meet held on Monday considered to conduct the interview for the Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) post in August, the back-to-back holidays could be a hindrance. The KAS interview is likely to be held in September.

The PSC office has resumed work with 50 per cent staff. However, the office functioning was affected as some employees tested positive for COVID-19.
