Shivapriya Mani, who wrote the SSLC exam in a wheelchair, passed with 4 A-plus grades. Shivapriya went to school only to write the exam. She was taught by BRC teachers who came home once a week.

She can't write. But she can handle computers and mobile phones well. She can easily be mistaken for a 6-year-old. Shiva Priya’s disease is fractures of the bones in the body. Her mother Anita says she was born with 14 fractures. She hasn’t stopped taking medicine since then. And she is required to have these medicines all her life. Shivapriya can’t get up or walk. If someone picks her up, she is able to sit down but only for an hour.

The condition of her body never affected Shivapriya’s studies. Her father Vinod Mani runs a business in Thiruvananthapuram. She finished her lower primary at Mathilbhagam UP School, finished her 6th and 7th at Thiruvananthapuram, and completed High school at Thiruvalla Govt High school. As her parents were in Thiruvananthapuram for business, she studied at her mother's house in Paliyekkara. Shivapriya says she wants to join Plus Two in an open school.
