Civil Services Prelims on May 28; Feb 21 last date to apply

New Delhi: The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has started the registration process for the Civil Services Examination, 2023. Interested candidates can submit the online application till February 21.

The Preliminary examination is scheduled on May 28 and the Mains from September 15 onwards.

Those in the age group of 21 to 32 can apply. However, the upper-age limit won’t be applicable to applicants from the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class categories.

There are a total of 1,105 vacancies this time, the highest in the last seven years. There were 1,209 vacancies in 2016. The UPSC had issued a notification for 861 vacancies initially in 2021. Later that year, an additional 150 vacancies were reported in the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) cadre.
