The Preliminary examination is scheduled on May 28 and the Mains from September 15 onwards.
According to an official statement, Ministry of Railways has decided that recruitment to Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) will be done through the Civil Services Examination to be conducted by the UPSC for the year 2023.
There are around 1,000 all-India seats for which at least 10 lakh candidates apply for the preliminary test. However, only around five lakh candidates normally appear for the prelims and among them, a miniscule percentage win.
Interestingly, Jojin had written the IFS exam in the last five years. However, he didn’t even pass the prelims four times. In 2019 and 2020, he was selected to the interview round of the Civil Services Examination. But, this year, Jojin concentrated only on the IFS exam.
Ramya says that she couldn’t attend any training classes before her first two attempts, as she couldn’t raise enough money for the fees. She then joined Amazon as an employee. However, she quit the job as she didn’t get enough time to study.
