Actress Parvathy is known for her frank statements. The actress made all Malayalis proud when she forayed into Bollywood, thanks to her command over Hindi and English. But when it comes to Malayalam, the actress has a little concern. Though born in Kozhikode, Parvathy had her schooling at different places and because of the same, she finds its difficult to write in Malayalam.

Parvathy talked about her weak Malayalam in the recent episode of Nakshathrathilakkam aired on Mazhavil Manorama. “I can read but it takes a lot of time for me to write. I studied in the Hindi medium and so Malayalam was never easy. It was my mom who made me sit and read aloud the Malayalam newspapers so that I could get the correct pronunciations.”

Recalling her most embarrassing situation so far, she said, “During the beginning of my career I had to interview (singer) Chithra chechi for a live show. There came a point when I asked something related to 'sangeetha samvidhayakan' (music director) and I was utterring 'sangeetha sa sa sa'... She felt so bad and I was totally embarrassed. Nothing bigger than that happened till now. I was 17 back then”.
