While the Onam releases in Malayalam have become the talking point among movie-goers, a clear winner has emerged from them.
The movies that were competing for the top spot were the Prithviraj-starrer Jeethu Joseph directed Oozham, the Priyadarshan-Mohanlal combo's Oppam, Kunchacko Boban-starrer Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho (KPAC) and the Dileep-starrer Welcome to Central Jail directed by Sundar Das. Kerala also saw the Tamil biggie Iru Mugan starring Vikram and Nayanthara.
And the winner is, wait for it, Oppam. Priyadarshan's well-crafted thriller-drama seems to have struck the right chord with audience.
