Photo: PTI Mumbai: Roshmitha Harimurthy will be representing India at the Miss Universe pageant this year after she was crowned as Miss Diva 2016.
She was announced as the winner at a glitzy event which was held at the Dome, NSCI SVP Stadium here. The other winners for the night included Srinidhi Shetty (Miss Diva Supranational 2016) and Aradhana Buragohain (Miss Diva second runner up 2016), read a statement.
The winners were announced amidst a lot of drama and suspense by the judges panel that included former beauty queen and actress Lara Dutta, model turned actor Arjun Rampal, actor Abhay Deol, actress Aditi Rao Hydari and designer Gaurav Gupta.
India hasn't won a Miss Universe crown since 2000, when Lara Dutta bagged the title.
The 16 contestants were selected from city auditions that happened in Lucknow, Indore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi and culminated with the final round of auditions that happened in Mumbai.
