Plus One student stabs 16-year-old boy in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: A 16-year-old student was allegedly stabbed in the neck by another boy of the same age during an attempt to resolve an ongoing conflict. The incident occurred at Mannur here on Saturday.
The two boys, former classmates at a high school, had frequent disputes and were eventually enrolled in separate schools for their higher secondary education. The situation escalated after they recently met on a bus and engaged in a heated argument, said sources.
Following this encounter, the father of the Mannur boy invited the other student to his house for a discussion to settle their differences. The second student arrived at the house accompanied by friends. During the conversation, tensions flared, leading to an argument. At one point, the Mannur boy's father allegedly slapped the other student, and in the ensuing commotion, the Mannur boy stabbed him with a knife.
The injured student, hailing from Cheruvannur, was rushed to Kozhikode Medical College for treatment. Feroke police have initiated an investigation, recording statements from those involved. An FIR will be filed against the Mannur boy and his father, cops said.
