Kasaragod: Three men, including an employee of the Kasaragod general hospital, have been arrested for allegedly gang-raping a dalit girl.
Uduma Bara Kundolampara native V. Kishore (29), K. N. Manju Nath (34) and M.K. Anil Kumar (32) were arrested by a team led by circle inspector A. Abdul Raheem. Manju Nath and Anil were friends of Kishore - a temporary employee of the hospital.
The victim, a 19-year-old from Karnataka, had sought the assistance of Kishore on July 23 upon reaching the hospital for stomach ache as she was new to the place.
That evening, Kishore took the girl in his auto and took her to a lodge room where she was allegedly raped by the three. The gang abandoned the victim at the KSRTC bus stand the next morning.
The girl returned to the hospital that day and the hospital authorities contacted the police upon suspicion.
The police recorded the victim's statement and conducted medical test in which rape was confirmed.
