Kollam: In a shocking report from Kollam, a Kerala schoolteacher allegedly broke a 10-year-old student's hand by twisting it.

The incident happened at Government Higher Secondary School, Valathungal, on Thursday and the child was immediately rushed to the hospital.

The teacher, who was suspended following complaints, told the authorities that she had only caught hold of the child running around the classroom by hand and made him sit down.

However, the class V student rejected the teacher's version and said that he had merely bent down to take his pen from the floor, when the teacher caught hold of him and purposefully broke his hand.

Earlier also, there were reports against the teacher, who is said to be suffering from mental frustration.
