Kerala youth smashes 136 coconuts in 60 secs, enters record books Abeesh P. Dominic

Eerattupetta: It was a smashing glory for Abeesh P. Dominic as he powered his way to the Limca Book of Records by breaking 136 coconuts with bare hands in a minute.

In the process, Abeesh, a native of Kaippally near Poonjar in Kottayam district, also bettered the Guinness Book record created by German Muhamed Kahrimanovic, and is looking forward to etch his name in the ultimate annual book of records.

He achieved the feat at a spectacular show of strength held in Aroor on Tuesday.

Abeesh, who works at the mechanic section of the Eerattupetta KSRTC depot on contract basis, loves making records. He has pulled off several unique and dangerous stunts such as pulling a 10-ton bus to a distance of 50 meters using his teeth, stopping a pedestal fan running at a speed of 2000 rpm, breaking tender coconuts by smashing them against his elbow, head and knee, breaking helmets and hockey sticks with bare hands etc.

These achievements have helped him find a place in the American Setter Record and the Assist World Record in different categories.
