Kannur: In a noble gesture, actress Manju Warrier Saturday offered full support to breast cancer patients and said that one should conquer the disease with early detection and confidence.

Manju Warrier reminded everyone that it is better to detect cancer early through self-examination and thereby return to normal life. She said this while attending a ceremony of 'Breast Cancer Brigade', by the Malabar Cancer Care Society (MCCS) of Kannur.

'Breast Cancer Brigade' jointly held by MCCS and Manorama News has Manju Warrier as the brand ambassador.

In Kerala, 22-35 percent cancer cases reported are breast cancer. The aim of the project is to control and check breast cancer among women.

Manju Warrier initiated the project by giving away Cancer Brigade t-shirts to students of Kannur Sports School followed by her dance performance.
