The post got over 1,500 comments and drew widespread criticism from many fanatics, who even questioned his religious identity. Shami was mercilessly trolled and most people slammed Shami for letting his wife wear a sleeveless dress.

And the Indian pacer hit back at the hate-mongers Monday, asserting that he knew what was right for his wife and family. He also reminded the netizens that people need to look into themselves to know how good they are.
But enough people also supported Shami and prominent among them was former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif who slammed the critics, saying that such comments were shameful.
“There are bigger issues in this country. Hope sense prevails,” Kaif said in a Facebook post.
