Kozhikode: Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton arrived here on Friday.
Shilton, who will be the chief guest of the final of the UN@70 all-Kerala inter-school football tournament, was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at the Karipur International Airport.
The 66-year-old former England captain, rated as one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time and played in three World Cups, will watch the final to be played between Farook HSS (Kozhikode) and St. Augustine (Thrissur) at the Corporation Stadium.
Farook got the better of MSP HSS (Malappuram) 2-0, while St. Augustine outplayed Leo XII (Thiruvananthapuram) 4-0 in the semifinals on Thursday.
