Taliparamba police registered a third case against the elderly man for sexually assaulting the sisters' eight-year-old cousin, but the case collapsed when the girl turned hostile.
The convicted man and the victims had eloped, fearing the latter's parents would marry her off to someone else.
Police said CCTV footage from the area was crucial in identifying the suspects.
The elder sister revealed the incident during a counselling session.
The incident happened on February 12 at a private resort in Kovalam.
