The current government has so far disbursed a total of ₹51,534 crore in welfare pensions.
The Kerala government announced the commencement of February's social security and welfare fund pension distribution on February 25th.
The scheme will apply to women living in convents, monasteries, ashrams and other faith-based institutions.
A monthly pension of ₹2000 is distributed to over 62 lakh beneficiaries.
This rate applies to registration and related services.
All beneficiaries will receive the amount on the same date as per the schedule, said minister Balagopal.
In the agriculture sector, the Chief Minister announced that the support price for rubber will be increased from ₹180 to ₹200 per kg from November 1.
Distribution begins on Saturday, with 26.62 lakh beneficiaries receiving funds directly in their bank accounts
Each of the 62 lakh beneficiaries will receive ₹1,600.
UDF and the LDF see the welfare pension not merely as policy, but as political currency.
