A team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) travelled 15 km on foot to rescue the stranded people.
Maharashtra Chief Minister's Office has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased workers.
According to ASDMA, the fatality was reported on Thursday in the flood-hit Tamulpur district.
The incident occurred at Daurala in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut.
