Hello
The Joseph faction of the Kerala Congress had organised a camp in Pala as part of its preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
The funeral will be held at the St Sebastian's Church at Purappuzha on Thursday.
As reported earlier Kerala is once again on the edge and social media is rife with concerns over the 126-year-old dam commissioned on October 10, 1895, at Vallakkadavu in Idukki district's Peermade taluk.
With differences over posts of office-bearers reaching a flash point in the Kerala Congress camp led by PJ Joseph, an organisational poll is being envisaged to settle the issue.
In the four seats, where Jose K Mani's Kerala Congress (M) and P J Joseph’s Kerala Congress clashed head-on, the score is at 2-2.
The new entity will now be known as just 'Kerala Congress' as was this regional outfit known in its initial days until half a century ago.
Joseph, who is with the United Democratic Front, overcame this crisis immediately by merging its faction with the splinter Kerala Congress (Thomas) party of PC Thomas on Wednesday.
Thomas is likely to take part in the UDF election convention on Wednesday.
The dispute between party Vice Chairman Jose Mani and Working Chairman Joseph started following the death of party chairman KM Mani in 2019.
The Kerala Assembly elections 2021 is as much Jose vs Joseph as it is the LDF vs UDF.
