Sreelekha denies the charges, arguing that the laws cited (POCSO Act and BNS) cannot be applied retrospectively to incidents that occurred before their enactment or to victims who were not minors at the time.
The dry waste collection hub at Sasthamangalam was launched by V K Prasanth in 2019 when he was the city Mayor.
He also said there had been no issues during the seven years his office operated from the Corporation building.
In a Facebook post, Sreelekha said she had no dissatisfaction, reiterating that she had none then and has none now.
She added that she eventually accepted the party’s decision to contest as a councillor and took pride in the party’s significant electoral achievement.
Sabarinadhan suggests Prasanth move his office to the MLA Hostel for the rest of his term, highlighting the availability of computer-equipped rooms and parking.
Sivankutty spoke to the media about the incident, calling it 'undemocratic and unacceptable. '
The dispute revolves around the demand to vacate the MLA office, which Prasanth alleges is politically motivated, while Sreelekha claims it's a personal request due to limited office space.
