Indian Scout

If the mere mention of the word ‘Indian’ is enough to make every Indian citizen proud, biking aficionados from across the world, Americans and Kiwis in particular, will get an adrenaline rush upon hearing the name ‘Fastest Indian’. For, Indian is America’s most legendary and iconic motorcycle brand with an unparalleled racing heritage.

Indian Scout

The World's Fastest Indian is a famous biographical sports drama film based on the life of Kiwi speed bike racer Burt Munro and his relentless pursuit of speed on the Bonneville Salt Flats, dubbed the fastest track in the world, in the 50s and 60s. Anthony Hopkins played the eccentric character of Burt Munro, while his 1920 Indian Scout donned the role of his closest companion.

Indian Scout

The new-generation of Indian Scout motorcycle has hit the Indian market recently. The cruiser motorcycle is ready to redefine the segment and set new standards for styling, performance and grandeur.

Indian Scout

Introduced way back in 1920, Scout went on to become the most prominent model in the Indian’s enviable product lineup. It symbolizes the rich heritage of the American cruiser while blending both traditional and modern engineering practices.

Great craftsmanship

Indian Scout

The all-new Scout is more compact compared to the other Indian models, but it does retain the original style of the classic design of its elder sibling. It looks a bit bigger than the legendary Bullet and sports a stretched out but tightly snug look. The wide front tyre, small circular headlamp, neatly chiseled tank, and the edgy rear fenders stand out. The use of black as the dominant color adds to the vehicle’s masculine appeal.

Retro appeal

Indian Scout

While most of the Indian models have an intriguing glitter effect, thanks to the lavish employment of chromium plating, only a negligible amount of chrome finish can be spotted on the new Scout. The clean and elegant lines of chrome give the engine a royal and elegant charm. The cannon-like twin exhausts add further to the classic look of the Scout. The handlebars are flat and low. The dash consists of a chrome-plated one-dial analogue speedometer with a small digital console. The color combination and letters on the dial evoke nostalgia and enhance the new Scout’s retro appeal. The digital console displays temperature and rpm among other indicators. The rider seat is made of stylish desert tan leather.

Power-packed engine

Indian Scout

The Scout features a liquid-cooled, double overhead camshaft V-twin engine. It pumps out a maximum power of 100 BHP at 8000 rpm. The peak torque is 97.7 Nm at 5,900rpm. The counter-balanced engine ensures a smooth performance.

Sporty and nimble

Indian Scout

Scout’s power delivery can match that of any sports bikes in the market. The throttle response is amazing and cannot be expected from a cruiser motorcycle. It gets a smooth 6-speed transmission and belt-drive gearing. This mid-weight machine also offers sporty and nimble handling.
