Plus-One supplementary admission: Application opens tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram: The higher secondary Plus-One supplementary admission process will commence at 10 am on Saturday. Eligible students can submit applications till 5 pm on Wednesday, July 12.

The detailed information, including the vacant seats, will be published at 9 am tomorrow through the official single window system (Ekajalakam).

The Education Department has informed that more seats and temporary batches will be allotted in regions facing seat shortages.

Who can apply

Those who are yet to get admission despite applying in the main phase and those whose applications got rejected due to errors, besides those who are yet to apply, can submit applications for supplementary admission.

Who cannot apply

However, the students who got admission in the main phase, those who cancelled the merit quota admission, those who obtained transfer certificates after getting the admission, and those who received allotment but failed to get the admission are not eligible to apply anymore.

Vacant seats

A total of 48,004 seats in Science, 22,831 seats in Humanities, and 33,851 seats in Commerce streams are estimated to be lying vacant. This includes the seats under General Merit, Reservation, Management, Community, and Unaided quotas.

73,078 students fail to get admission

As many as 73,078 students failed to get admission despite getting allotment in the first phase of Plus-One admission.

The region-wise figures are as follows:

Thiruvananthapuram 5,715; Kollam 6,047; Pathanamthitta 3,551; Alappuzha 4,254; Kottayam 4,615; Idukki 2,916; Ernakulam 7,008; Thrissur 7,150; Palakkad 6,286; Malappuram 9,753; Kozhikode 7,089; Wayanad 2,171; Kannur 4,234 and Kasaragod 2,289.
