35,163 seats allotted in Plus-One supplementary round

Thiruvananthapuram: As many as 35,163 candidates have been allotted Plus-One (Class 11) seats for Higher Secondary Education (HSE) courses in the supplementary allotment round of admissions to higher secondary schools where the Kerala state syllabus is followed.

There were 67,696 applicants for the 45,394 merit seats in the supplementary round. Even after this round, 32,433 students are waiting for allotment.

At the same time, 10,600 merit seats are still vacant in schools which did not receive an adequate number of applications. In addition, 17,788 seats are vacant in the management quota in aided schools and 41,919 seats are yet to be filled in unaided schools.

In Malappuram district, a mere four merit seats are vacant, while the number is 51 in Kozhikode. Meanwhile, over a thousand merit seats have not been filled in Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram districts.

VHSE list

The authorities have published the supplementary allotment list for admission to Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) courses also. Students who have received allotment in HSE as well as VHSE have to report at the allotted schools before 4 pm on Friday (July 14) and gain admission.

Next allotment

The next allotment will take place after July 18. The transfer allotment for students who gained admission in the main allotment to change their school and grade will be conducted then.
