This artist's tribute to actor Vinayakan is worthy of mass applause Advin Roy Netto took nearly 6 hours to complete the portrait of Vinayakan.

Actor Vinayakan has just won the Best Actor award at the 2016 Kerala State Film Awards. Hearing the news, Advin Roy Netto, a Keralite artist who works in Bengaluru, decided to pay a tribute to the actor in his own style.

Advin took out a paper and started drawing a portrait of Vinayakan's character Ganga from the film Kammatipaadam that won him the award. The catch-point here is that he used only pencil and ball-point pen.

It was not an easy task; it took Advin nearly six hours to finish the work. One can see that how meticulously he has worked on the portrait that it has come out as a stunning piece of art.

Advin, who works as a visual designer in a private firm, has perfectly drawn the rugged hair strands of Ganga and succeeded in getting the character's ruffian look right.

Last year, when the new Rs 2,000 notes were introduced, Advin had come up with four redesigns of the currency that went viral on Facebook. He had then said that he was disappointed with the new currency's design and that prompted him to work on his own designs.

Way to go, Advin.
