Actor Jagadish has always made Malayalees laugh out loud with his numerous comic characters on screen. He has also managed to improvise his singing talent on various stage shows. His song rendition videos have always been viral and are of much interest to trollers.
Ask Jagadish about it, he has no qualms about singing or reactions to it. He says, “During my school days, I used to sing. While in the sixth standard, I participated in a light music contest and sang a song which was criticised by my teacher. 'Nithya kaamuki njan ninn madiyile...' was what I sang and my teacher scolded me saying that it was not for kids and how could I choose that. But I always sing the song I like.”
The amateur singer is even targeted by actor Mukesh. “Mukesh always taunts and says how I won't leave a mike without showing my singing skills,” Jagadish reveals.
“I take trolls in the most positive manner. I worship songs. As a child, I used to listen to songs on Vividh Bharti. But sadly, I could never learn music. Those days, my father couldn't spare money for music education. His focus was to educate us. And because I couldn't learn, I realised my limitations. But whenever I get an opportunity I grab it for I believe music is something really great. Be it acting, talking, our daily routine everything has a rhythm to it and I respect music,” he said.
Jagadish was talking on Mazhavil Manorama's chat show, Nakshathrathilakkam. He was accompanied by actor Maniyanpillai Raju. Raju also praised Jagadish by revealing that the latter was probably the first actor who is a university rank-holder.
