After rescheduling the release by a week, thanks to the currency chaos caused by demonetization, Nadhirshah's second directorial Kattappanyile Rithwik Roshan (Rithwik Roshan of Kattappana) is hitting the screens today.
The movie, which is banking on its comedy factor, sees the reunion of the creative team behind 2015 hit film Amar Akbar Anthony. Nadhirshah has once again entrusted young duo Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George in the writing department and has given Vishnu the lead role too.
The title was curious enough to grab our attention easily. Listening to the name Kattappanyile Rithwik Roshan, we know that it's about an aspiring actor who hails from Kattappana, a pretty town situated about 3,600 feet (1,100 m) above mean sea level and lies by the Western Ghats in Kerala's Idukki district.
And, we're curious – does the real Hrithik Roshan know about Kattappanyile Rithwik Roshan? Chances are very less. However, it is interesting to imagine that the Bollywood star would be amused to learn about there's a Malayalam film, humble in terms of budget and star cast, has his name in its title.
We are also almost certain that this is the first time the actor's name, even though a different spelling, is used in a movie's title.
At his side, Hrithik is gearing up for his next film Kaabil in which he plays a blind man.
We'll wait and see if Hrithik get to know about this 'Rithwik Roshan' from Kattappana.
