Kozhikode District Collector Prasanth Nair aka 'Collector Bro' has been in news for a number of reasons, mainly his populist initiatives. Now, the celebrityhood associated to the IAS officer is all set to touch new heights.
Prasanth and his wife Lakshmi will be jointly penning the script for National Award-winning director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon's new film. Anil told Onmanorama that the film, which will roll out in and around Kozhikode, will be a satire comedy.
The director said that the casting is yet to be completed. However, it is hinted that a leading young star will be playing the lead character.
North 24 Katham, Sapthamashree Thaskara and Lord Livingston 7000 Kandi, all of which dealt with peculiar themes and fared well in cinemas, were Anil's earlier directorial outings.
Prasanth Nair is known for his public opinions and has a huge fan base in public and social media for his innovative and daring decisions as a civil servant.
‘Collector, Kozhikode’, managed by Prasanth himself, is one of the most popular district administration pages on Facebook with 1,62,483 followers at last count. He has launched many campaigns and projects through social media since assuming office in last February.
