A brisk walk through the teaser of Oopiri (Telugu) shows how well the camaraderie between Nagarjuna Akkineni and Karthi work in the movie.
The official remake of the French film The Intouchables (2011), Oopiri (Telugu) is simultaneously shot in Tamil as well, which is titled Thozha. While Nagarjuna Akkineni plays the character of a quadriplegic patient, Karthi essays the role of his caretaker. The film is about the bond that forms between the two.
Tamannaah Bhatia plays the female lead, and there are a handful of other stars who make cameo appearences—Anushka Shetty, Shriya Saran, Adivi Sesh and South African model Gabriella Demetriades are a few of them.
Prakash Raj and Jayasudha will be seen in pivotal roles as well.
The trailer also promises a musical ride with flickers of Gopi Sundar's BGM sticking to mind. Cinematography by P.S. Vinod is also being lauded on social media platforms.
In all, it seems like this bilingual film would make it to the list of most awaited movies of the year.
