Adding to the excitement over the eagerly awaited Disney's big-budget fantasy film The Jungle Book, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has launched the Hindi version of the film in a special video clip.
The Bollywood actress has voiced the character of 'Kaa', a snake who is one of Mowgli's mentors and friends, in the Hindi version of the film. Her playful and sultry voice will match Scarlett Johannsson’s sensual rendition of 'Kaa' in The Jungle Book releasing on April 8.
Directed by Jon Favreau, The Jungle Book, based on Rudyard Kipling's book, narrates the story of an orphan boy Mowgli who is raised in the jungle by a pack of wolves, a bear, and a black panther.

Irrfan Khan will dub in Hindi for the friendly bear Baloo, which is dubbed by Bill Murray in the Hollywood version. Shefali Shah will dub for Raksha and Om Puri will lend voice for the black panther Bagheera. And Nana Patekar, who had dubbed for the fearsome tiger in the animated series – 'The Jungle Book: The Adventures of Mowgli' – that was aired on Doordarshan in the 90s, will once again lend his voice to Shere Khan.
