Malayalam movie Sexy Durga directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan won the Great Tiger Award at International Film Festival Rotterdam. This is the first time that a Indian movie has managed to win an award at IFFR.
IFFR held annually in Netherlands is devoted to actively supporting independent filmmaking from around the globe.
After the achievement, Sanal Kumar took to Facebook and thanked his friends and well-wishers. He wrote: ''Sexy Durga won the great tiger award in IFFR. This is something for us teamsexydurga and indie movement in Malayalam. Thanks everyone. Remember my friends who supported me making my first film. Thank you.. Thanks IFFR..''
