PT Usha and Sonam Kapoor. File photoMumbai: Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor on Tuesday said a biopic should be made on the legendary sprinter PT Usha.
The actress was asked if she feels biopic on sportswomen P.V. Sindhu and Sakshi Malik, who have earned medals at the Rio Olympics, should be made and Sonam said before that the inspirational story of P.T. Usha should be brought on the big screen.
"I have already done one (biopic) 'Neerja'. Whatever good (referring to biopic) comes my way I will do that. I think before making a biopic on them (P.V. Sindhu and Sakshi Malik) there should be one on P T Usha. I think it will be an interesting one," Sonam told reporters here at an event.
"Films on sports should be encouraged as it inspires people. India should also be known for sports," she said.

AFPThe 31-year-old actress, who was present with Australian swimmer and Olympic medalist Stephanie Rice, was talking at Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition, hosted by the Ladies' Wing of the Indian Merchant Chamber (IMC).
The exhibition has a huge range of products from clothes to jewelry, food to personal care and home decor products, among others.
"I am happy today women are moving ahead in life and doing all sorts of work in every field. I think more money should be put in for the education of girls. The government must come ahead and do something. We all should help each other," Sonam said.
