The Indian music world, cutting across languages and generations, wished happy birthday to veteran singer K.S. Chithra.
Music maestros, singers, lyricists and personalities from other fields greeted birthday to Chithra in a 35-minute video which is filled with songs, praises and memories.
Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmaniam said he was a fan of Chithra who was not only one of the finest persons in the industry but one of the finest human beings too.
Music directors Keeravani, MK Arjunan master, Sarreth and filmmaker Sreekumaran Thampi, are among those who wished Chithra in the video.
Dr. Omanakutty calls it a fortune to be Chithra's teacher, Sreekumaran Thampi said Chithra was different both as a singer and a lover of humankind.
Singers Vijay Yesudas, Madhu Balakrishnan, P. Unnikrishnan, Vidhu Prathap and Swetha Mohan also are among those featured in the video.
Chithra herself posted the video on her Facebook page thanking each one appeared in it. "I would like to thank each one of you for making this day so special and memorable. I never expected anything like this. I have no words. Thank you so much!," Chithra wrote.
