Try this easy instant unniyappam at home

Soft and tasty unniyappams could be easily prepared in under 10 minutes without grinding rice for the batter. Check out the recipe.

1.5 cups wheat flour
½ cup semolina
¾ cup thick jaggery syrup
1 banana
¼ tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp sesame seeds
¼ cup coconut shards
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ghee
Oil/ghee to fry

Take the wheat flour, semolina, a pinch of salt, jaggery syrup and banana in a mixer jar
Blend well into smooth batter
Transfer this into a bowl
Add cumin seeds, sesame seeds, coconut shards and a tsp of ghee, mix well
Keep the batter aside for 5 minutes
After that, add the baking soda
Heat oil/ghee in an unniyappam mould
Pour a spoonful of batter into each hole
Flip when one side is nicely cooked
Enjoy the instant unniyappam as an evening snack.
