Lijesh wanted to try a few unique ideas as he wished his dream dwelling at Kodungallur in Thrissur, Kerala to stand out. Impressed by the classy elegance of the colonial-style English homes, Lijesh decided to adopt this style.
The house that looks like a typical English farmhouse has a sloped roof in multiple layers. Shingles are paved on the concrete roof. Dormer windows too are added to the elevation to complete the look.
The vast and beautiful landscape plays a pivotal role in highlighting the splendid elevation of the house. The driveway is paved with interlocked bricks while the garden is filled with lots of shading trees and plants.
Designed in 3000 sqft, this mesmerizing abode has a sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, four bedrooms and an upper living area.
Vitrified tiles in glossy finish and wooden finished tiles have been used for flooring in the house.
Interestingly, the living and dining areas are part of the spacious hall. The U-shaped kitchen has cabinets done in plywood with a laminate finish. The countertop has been paved with nano white.
The bedrooms are simple yet elegant. Head side walls are highlighted with texture tiles. The bath-attached bedrooms have wardrobe units for storage.
The landscape dons a mesmerizing ambience when the lights are switched on at night.
