The new generation is trying various ideas for pre-wedding photoshoots and wedding invitations. Many pre-wedding photoshoots have often gained media attention. Now, a unique wedding invitation is the subject of discussion. Jyothish R. Pillai, hailing from Enathu in Pathanamthitta, has designed a wedding invitation inspired by a ration card.
This unique invitation is designed in the format of a ration card, featuring details such as the groom's taluk, ward number, and house number. Also, the phone number is given in place of the card number. The invitation also has photographs of Jyothish and the bride, Devika, just like the pictures found on a ration card. There is an interesting story behind the creation of this unique wedding invitation.
Jyothish said, "My mother has been running a ration shop for many years. Given that this is our livelihood, I conceived this idea quite some time ago." Jyothish's mother also recounted that during her visit to deliver the wedding invitation, many inquired whether it pertained to a new ration card.
She noted that many only realised the situation when she clarified that it was not a ration card, but rather an invitation to her son's wedding. Local residents also shared that upon first seeing the card, there was considerable excitement, with speculation about whether it was a new card or a name change.
The wedding of Jyothish and Devika took place on February 2.
