SudhakaranKozhikode: Noted stage artist and film actor T. Sudhakaran (72) passed away here on Monday.
Sudhakaran, father of popular film actor Sudheesh, was injured in an accident on December 24 when he was hit by a scooter near Kanakalaya Bank while he was taking his morning walk.
Sudhakaran was undergoing treatment in a private hospital when he died around 1.30 p.m. on Monday. Sudhakaran’s body was taken to residence Surya after autopsy. His body will be kept at the Kerala Lalithakala Academy’s Art Gallery, near Town Hall, from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. for public to pay their respects. His body will be cremated at the West Hill crematorium at 11 a.m. Sudhakaran is survived by his wife Surya Prabha and daughter-in-law Dhanya.
Sudheesh with father SudhakaranSudhakaran acted in more 500 plays, 50 films and many TV serials. After retiring as Deputy Collector, Sudhakaran spend most of his time into theatre activites. He had won many awards for his acting, including Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy’s Best Actor award.
