Solar scam accused Biju Radhakrishnan (file photo)Perumbavoor: Biju Radhakrishnan, the prime accused in solar panel scam case, is enjoying special relaxations in custody. He is allowed to make phone calls and even meet acquaintances, according to a report.
Cops who escorted him to the court assist Biju Radhakrishnan, as per visuals. The visuals were were recorded secretly when Radhakrishnan was brought to Perumbavoor court from Poojapura central jail, where he is currently lodged.
Police had earlier warned that Radhakrishnan could give a slip to cops, but despite this he was seen guarded by only three police personnel. They were seen standing far away, allowing Radhakrishnan to make the phone calls.
He spent hours speaking on the phone at a secluded corner behind the court. He also met some people in between. From the body language, it was clear that the visitors too were known to the police.
Finally, when it was time for the hearing, Radhakrishnan was seen nursing an injury in his leg. He said that he was hurt by an iron rod while walking around the court. The police later took Radhakrishnan to hospital.
